Once again I wasted nearly an hour asking a City Index customer support person, to add a spread bet account to an already existing CFD. I was told my account didn’t exist, it did I had just placed two orders. Anyway I was on hold for another 8 minutes and then told yes they could do it. Last time I was told it wasn’t possible, three months later, by email. Also asked for Nth time to close my CFD account, I have never used it and it always pops up first, for the insane amount of times I’m asked for account details, without differentiating CFD over DFT.
Yes, City Index does offer MT4, but functionality and market access is not as good as their main proprietary trading platform or some of their MT4 competitors like Pepperstone. You can only trade around 84 markets on MT4 through City Index and there are better brokers for trading on MT4.
